Orascom Development Holding hat mit Samih Sawiris eine Vereinbarung über den
möglichen Kauf von 1% und einer Aktie der Andermatt Swiss Alps (ASA)
innerhalb der nächsten 2 Jahre getroffen.

Altdorf, 9. Januar 2019 - Die im Jahr 2016 eingeführte Strategie der Orascom
Development Holding (Orascom Development) trägt Früchte und führte zu
operativen Verbesserungen in allen Destinationen. In der nächsten Phase ist
die Verkürzung des Weges zurück zur Profitabilität das Ziel. Im Rahmen
dieses strategischen Fokus hat Orascom Development eine Vereinbarung mit
seinem Verwaltungsratspräsidenten Samih Sawiris getroffen, wonach Orascom
Development 1% und eine Aktie der Andermatt Swiss Alps AG (ASA) von Samih
Sawiris kaufen kann. Die Vereinbarung ist bis zum 31. Dezember 2020 gültig.
Als Vorbedingung für die Durchführung der Vereinbarung würde Samih Sawiris
zunächst CHF 150 Millionen Schulden erlassen müssen, die ASA ihm derzeit
schuldet. Dies würde die Eigenkapitalposition der ASA in Form einer
Kapitaleinlage weiter stärken. Samih Sawiris gehören aktuell 51% der ASA,
während Orascom Development 49% besitzt. Falls der Kauf durchgeführt wird,
würde Orascom Development 50% plus eine Aktie an ASA halten.


Die Transaktion würde zu einem Kaufpreis von CHF 3.2 Millionen erfolgen, was
einer Bewertung des Eigenkapitals von ASA von CHF 320 Millionen entspricht.
Dieser Unternehmenswert wurde im Rahmen eines unabhängigen
Bewertungsgutachtens ermittelt.


Verwaltungsratspräsident Samih Sawiris sagte: "Ich bin zufrieden mit der
Entwicklung der Destination in den letzten 10 Jahren, und ich möchte dem
Team für die harte Arbeit und Ausdauer bei der Umsetzung des vor einem
Jahrzehnt entworfenen Masterplans danken." CEO Khaled Bichara fügte hinzu:
"Ich glaube, dass Andermatt Swiss Alps auf dem richtigen Weg hin zur
Skalierbarkeit ist, wie sich an der verbesserten operativen
Leistungsfähigkeit erkennen lässt."
