In the past Mr. Baumstark occupied the position of Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer at Daimler Chrysler Services Information Technology Ltd., Head-Group Solutions at Zurich Insurance Group AG, Director-ITF at Daimler AG and Chief Information Officer at DaimlerChrysler Financial Services AG (a subsidiary of Daimler AG), Project Manager at Andersen Consulting LLP (GB) and Program Manager at Debis Systemhaus GmbH.

He received a graduate degree from the University of Karlsruhe.
