Presently, Arumugam Manimekhalai occupies the position of Chairman for Canbank Computer Services Ltd., Chairman for Canbank Factors Ltd., Chairman at Union Bank of India (UK) Ltd. and Chief Executive Officer, Director & MD at Union Bank of India. Ms. Manimekhalai is also on the board of General Insurance Corporation of India and Canara Robeco Mutual Fund and Associate at Indian Institute of Banking & Finance.

In her past career Ms. Manimekhalai held the position of General Manager at Vijaya Bank Ltd.

Arumugam Manimekhalai received an MBA from the University of Bangalore.
