Mr. Jay K. Oberg is a Chief Risk Officer & Executive Vice President at Comerica Bank (Dallas, Texas), a Chief Risk Officer & Executive Vice President at Comerica, Inc. and an Executive Vice President & Chief Risk Officer at Comerica Bank.

He also is a member of Comerica's Management Executive Committee and chairman of the Corporation's Enterprise Risk and Return Committee.

He oversees risk and reward on an enterprise-wide basis. Various responsibilities include governance of all risk management operations at the company; integration of risk principles with corporate strategy, managing the capital planning process; leading the second line risk management function; and identification of emerging risks related to regulation, products, services, customer types and channels. Mr. Oberg assumed his current position in January 2019 after serving as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, Strategy and Capital Planning since 2016.

He joined the bank in 1991 as a financial analyst in the Controller Department. After moving to Corporate Development in 1995, his scope of work grew increasingly, leading Comerica’s Corporate Planning and Development function in 2007.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Michigan.
