Presently, Noor Ahmed Shahtaaz is Member-Shariah Board at Summit Bank Ltd. Dr. Shahtaaz is also Member of Hamdard University.

In the past he was Member of Pakistan Halal Authority and Member of Council of Islamic Ideology.

He received a graduate degree and a doctorate from the University of Karachi.
