He is also on the board of EFG International AG and EFG European Financial Group (Luxembourg) SA.

Dr. Petalas previously occupied the position of General Secretary & Senior Vice President at Banque de Dépôts et de Gestion SA.

He received a doctorate and a graduate degree from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
