Presently, Tony Wood occupies the position of Chief Scientific Officer of GSK Plc. Dr. Wood is also on the board of The Rosalind Franklin Institute.

Dr. Wood previously occupied the position of Senior VP-Medicinal Science & Technology at Pfizer Ltd.

Dr. Wood received an undergraduate degree and a doctorate from The University of Newcastle.
