Currently, Robert H. Spilman holds the position of Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer for Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc.

He is also on the board of Dominion Energy, Inc. and Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges.

In the past Mr. Spilman held the position of Chairman of Martinsville-Henry County Academic Foundation and Chairman at New College Institute.

He received an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University.
