Daniel F.
Byrne is Senior Vice President, Chief Product & Technology Officer at M Financial Group.
He joined M Financial in 1992, following 14 years of actuarial, marketing, systems, and product development experience with Sun Life of Canada.
He leads M’s efforts in managing all aspects of risk products offered by M Financial, which include life insurance, annuities, disability income, long term care, and corporate benefits.
His responsibilities include managing insurance company relationships, product development, due care analysis of insurance carriers, sales support, competitive analysis, technology, underwriting, and business development.
Dan was responsible for the development of M Financial’s proprietary series of mutual funds and is President of M Fund Inc., as well as President and Director of M Financial Investment Advisers, the adviser to the funds.
Mr. Byrne holds a magna cum laude BA in mathematics and economics from the University of Massachusetts.
He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a member of AALU.
