Tavis Christian McCourt

Mr. Tavis C.
McCourt, CFA MBA, is a Managing Director at Raymond James & Associates, Inc. Mr. McCourt joined Raymond James a second time in 2019 as the institutional equity strategist of the firm, following a 14-month stint at 12th Street Asset Management in Nashville, Tennessee.
He focuses on thematic, market, and macro-oriented research in his current role.
Previously, he joined Raymond James in 2012 as a senior technology analyst through the acquisition of Morgan Keegan & Co. He joined Morgan Keegan in 1998 and had been a senior analyst since 1999, covering wireless and wireline telecommunications companies prior to establishing a focus on communications technology.
He has been recognized in both the StarMine and The Wall Street Journal Best on the Street surveys.
He holds a B.A. in business administration from Villanova University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University, where he was the Founder’s Medalist.
He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
