Dan Langlois

Mr. Dan Langlois, CFA MBA, is Senior Portfolio Manager at Mawer Investment Management.
Prior to joining Mawer in 2009, Mr. Langlois was a senior consultant for Aon Consulting Ltd., where he delivered investment consulting services to pension, endowment and insurance clients throughout Western Canada.
As an effective communicator he serviced Senior Executives, Investment Committees and Board Members in a diverse range of investment consulting services including asset liability modeling, fund governance and investment policy development.
From June 2001 to August 2005, Mr. Langlois worked with the Royal Bank of Canada, Global Services where he serviced Senior Executives and Board Members through the delivery and development of comprehensive investment presentations for clients ranging in size from $50 million to $4 billion.
Prior to his role with Royal Bank, Mr. Langlois worked with a number of stakeholders in the development, evaluation and implementation of the investment strategy for the Canadian Airlines $2.4 Billion Pension Fund.
He has been a frequent speaker at company and industry functions, discussing topics such as Liability Driven Investment, Alternative Investments, Risk Budgeting and Portable Alpha and Manager Selection and Monitoring.
Mr. Langlois holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree in International Financial Management and is a CFA charterholder with investment experience since 1999.
He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Calgary CFA Society.
