Prior to joining Robeco in 2000, Mr. Meijers was from 1995 to 2000, as fundmanager, responsible for founding and building the international private equity portfolio of ABP, Europe’s largest pensionfund.
He has served as advisory committee member on a number of International private equity partnerships.
From 1991 to 1994 he was head of investments at Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (direct investment company) in The Netherlands.
From 1981 to 1991 he was at (ABN-) AMRO Bank in The
Netherlands and Australia, where he was active in corporate banking and financing of management buyouts.While there, he was also co-founder of AMRO Banks private equity fund.
From 1973 to 1991
Mr. Meijers was an associate professor of corporate finance at Tilburg University.Mr. Meijers received a M.A.
in Business Econometrics and a PhD.
in Economic Sciences (specialization corporate finance) from
Tilburg University.
