EcoPlanet Bamboo is working to become the leading producer of bamboo products and building-materials from Central America and Africa for export to the US, Europe and Middle East regions. Their products will include woven strand board and bamboo laminate components designed for structural construction, outdoor decking and composite panels, as well as bamboo charcoal and pellets for renewable energy. EcoPlanet Bamboo will conserve and where possible expand natural forest and other valuable vegetation within its areas of operation and is working to obtain FSC certification for all plantations. They work closely with local communities to maintain a strong focus on sustainable environmental and social development, and to adhere to high standards of corporate social responsibility. EcoPlanet Bamboo is in the process of developing a significant pool of verified carbon offsets. The company will absorb and store the maximum amount of CO2 through their bamboo reforestation projects and by reducing emissions from deforestation through the provision of sustainable alternatives.
