Beck, CFA MBA, is a Executive Partner, Director of Research & Managing Director at Barrett Asset Management LLC.
His responsibilities have grown from research to managing individual accounts as well as Barrett's two internally managed mutual funds and has brought an international perspective to Barrett's investment process.
Prior to beginning his investment career, Mr. Beck spent three years in Germany working for one of the leading global industrial conglomerates selling industrial plastics to clients throughout the country.
After that, he began his investment career following Japanese and Asian equities at Oppenheimer Capital.
Mr. Beck also worked as an Analyst by Haven Capital Management LLC, a Managing Director by Barrett Associates, Inc., an Equity Analyst by Marque Millennium Capital Management LLC, and a Research Analyst by Prudential Securities.
He received his undergraduate degree with a major in Political Economy from Princeton University and an MBA from The Leonard N Stern School of Business.
