Mr. Craig A.
Husting, CFA MBA, is Chief Investment Officer at The Public School Retirement System of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS).
He joined PSRS/PEERS as chief investment officer (CIO) in January 1999.
As CIO, he directs the management of the Systems' $39 billion investment portfolio.
Specifically, Mr. Husting is responsible for strategically diversifying the asset allocation for the Systems, including the development of real estate, private equity and hedge fund portfolios.
Prior to joining PSRS/PEERS, Mr. Husting was the director of investments and deposit programs for the Missouri State Treasurer's Office, where he managed all aspects of the state's $3.5 billion investment portfolio.
Mr. Husting has also worked in county government as deputy treasurer for Johnson County, Kansas.
Mr. Husting began his career in finance in 1989 with Ernst and Young's national cash management consulting practice.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame.
He has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
