On 12th February 2007, 'SEMCO SALVAGE & MARINE PTE LTD' was officially renamed as 'SEMCO PTE LTD' On 8th August 2007; SEMCO became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pacific Carriers Limited. In line with the new corporate identity, the company is renamed to 'POSH SEMCO PTE LTD' on 1st Mar 2008. POSH SEMCO is the leading Offshore Marine Service and long-tow specialist. It provides niche specialty services like towage and mooring installation of FPSOs. Leveraging on a young fleet of offshore vessels comprising of Anchor-Handling Supply Tugs, Towing Tugs, Offshore Supply Vessels, Utility Vessels and Submersible Barges, its services are supplemented by an experienced team of project personnel comprising senior managers, positioning masters and deck operations crew which enable POSH SEMCO to grown into a global integrated offshore service provider in the Marine Industry. Identifying the deepwater & subsea construction sectors as the key growth areas of the offshore industry, POSH SEMCO (OSV) subdivision was established to target both the subsea market as well as deepwater markets. With its strong fleet of AHTS vessels, POSH SEMCO has been supporting various offshore oil fields around the world, with long term charters all around the world. POSH has also a joint venture with Havila, one of the leading subsea offshore operators in the North Sea. Combining the technical know how of Havila and the network of POSH, POSH Havila is able to leverage on the strengths of each partner to meet the increasing demands of the offshore industry. POSH SEMCO is also one of the major salvors in the Far East. Another area of associated specialty service is emergency oil spill response services, which is handled by its subsidiary, Singapore Oil Spill Response Centre. To ensure effective communication and coordination with its customers and service providers, POSH SEMCO operates a 24-hour Operations Room to deal with routine operational matters and urgent/emergency matters.
