Rahim Dhalla

Mr. Rahim Dhalla is a Director of Portfolio Management at Counsel Portfolio Services, Inc. He is responsible for developing and leading a team of analysts who work with Investment Planning Counsel's (IPC) Advisors across Canada to help them define, analyze and construct portfolio solutions based on their customized investment thesis and unique investment needs.
He is also responsible for conducting regular attribution reviews and performance modeling on Counsel’s investment solutions.
Mr. Dhalla also assists the Chief Investment Officer in conducting regular qualitative reviews of Counsel’s investment specialists.
He is a member of various strategic committees, including Counsel’s Product Sub-Committee which is responsible for introducing changes to Counsel investment solutions.
He has been involved in the investment industry since 2001.
Mr. Dhalla joined Counsel in February 2004 as a Portfolio Analyst and was promoted to his current role in July 2010.
Prior to joining Counsel, Mr. Dhalla was an analyst within the accounting division of Investment Planning Counsel.
He teaches the Canadian Investment Funds Course (IFIC) for the Investment Funds Institute of Canada as a part-time instructor at Seneca College.
He is a graduate of University of Western Ontario, with a major in Statistics.
He holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation.
