Walter Watson

Mr. Walter Watson is a Research Editor at Ord Minnett Ltd.
He is the editor of Ord Minnett’s regular retail investor publications, such as the Opening Bell, Ords Weekly and the Ords Monthly, along with the various investment guides and investor information published by Ord Minnett.
He has spent over 25 years researching and writing about Australian and international financial markets for a number of organisations.
Prior to joining Ord Minnett in 2013, he was an editor across various sections at The Australian Financial Review, and before that a financial journalist and editor at Reuters specialising in markets and corporate coverage.
His early career was at the Australian Stock Exchange where he was a senior analyst in the Statex arm of the ASX research department.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts, with majors in Economics and Legal Studies, and is RG146 compliant.
