Valtion Eläkerahasto - The State Pension Fund (VER) is the State-owned pension fund in Finland. Established in 1990, VER is a fund outside the State budget from which Finland uses the proceeds to finance future pension liabilities and balance pension costs. The firm is based in Helsinki and is a socially responsible investor which strives to comply with the principles of responsible investment approved by the Finnish pension Alliance (TELA) which are based on principles of sustainable development and responsible shareholding and on the United Nations Global Compact.
