Mr. Benton P.
Cummings is a Managing Director at Prospect Capital Management LLC.
Prior to joining Prospect Capital Management, he was a Managing Director and head of Allied Capital’s private finance effort in New York.
While with Allied, he invested in excess of $1 billion and has extensive experience structuring and managing both debt and equity investments.
He represented Allied on several boards and held board observer roles in 18 middle market companies.
He also served on the credit committee for Allied’s $2.5 billion asset management platform, which invested in middle market and broadly syndicated loans through five CLO funds and a $400 million debt fund.
Prior to Allied Capital, he was an Associate with Morgan Stanley where he was responsible for analyzing and managing public equity and debt offerings as well as M&A transactions.
Mr. Cummings received a BA from Dartmouth College and a MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School (UNC).
