The firm was founded in 1988 and is a subsidiary of Fund Evaluation Group 2017, Inc., which is owned by Fund Evaluation Group Employee Stock Ownership Trust. ClearArc Capital, Inc. is an investment management firm headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The firm is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fifth Third Bancorp (NASDAQ: FITB) (FITB). ClearArc Capital traces their origins to Investment Strategies, Inc. (ISI), a Cleveland-based investment firm, which was founded in 1975. In 1992, ISI changed their name to Maxus Asset Management, Inc. (MAMI). In connection with the acquisition of the parent company of MAMI by FITB in January 2001, the firm’s name was changed to Fifth Third/Maxus Asset Management. On April 2, 2001, FITB acquired Old Kent Financial Corp. which owned Lyon Street Asset Management Co.
