In addition to his role at Pavilion Investment House, Prior to joining Canterbury, Mr. Taillieu was an audit Partner with KPMG LLP for 17 years, and was responsible for the assurance practice in the Winnipeg office.
He worked with multiple domestic and international clients, representing a myriad of businesses, sectors and industries, including financial services, real estate and manufacturing.
In 1999, Mr. Taillieu joined Assante Corporation as Chief Financial Officer and oversaw its initial public offering.
He was responsible for all financial related activities, including financial management and integration of over 20 subsidiary companies in Canada and the U.S., debt financing, financial and legal due diligence and structuring of acquisitions and divestitures, banking and taxation.
He was a key member of Assante's senior executive team and participated in shaping and executing its business strategies.
Since November 2003, he has held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Loring Ward International, and has agreed to join Canterbury Park Management Inc. in January 2006.
Mr. Taillieu has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba and is a Chartered Accountant.
