Ms. Gillian Smith is the Chief Operating Officer of Cognis, responsible for overseeing Fund operations, compliance and all non-investment aspects Cognis.
She joined in December 2003 from the Royal Bank of Scotland where she worked for 5 years and focused on non-investment grade credit as an Associate Director of the Special Investments Group and as part of the Corporate Restructuring Group within Specialised Lending Services.
Before that she also spent four and a half years in the Banking and Capital Markets division of PricewaterhouseCoopers working on audit and due diligence assignments across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA) and received a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry with Management Science from the University of Wales, Swansea.
