Ivan worked from 1976 as researcher and later as Director of Research at the Solid State Physics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
In 1994, Ivan joined the Orsay team of the South-Paris University in order to work on Nematic Bistable LC technologies.
Ivan is the author of more than 50 scientific publications on liquid crystal: molecular dynamic, flexo-electric and ordo-electric effects, electro-optic, anchoring and order on surfaces and interfaces…
Ivan is also co-inventor of many patents, especially of the basic patents of the BiNem® technology.
Ivan is a co-founder of Nemoptic.
He is in charge of the Research Department from the beginning of Nemoptic in 1999.
