FEAC uses fundamental credit analysis in seeking to identify investment opportunities with what they believe are attractive risk-adjusted returns, primarily through investments in privately negotiated debt and equity securities of middle-market companies. FEAC’s Direct Lending and Tradable Credit investment strategies invest across the entire capital structure through public and private vehicles, commingled funds including collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and separately managed accounts.

THL Credit invests in lower middle market companies in the United States. The firm focuses on companies operating across a board range of sectors and industries. It participates in buyout transactions.

McDonnell's Investment Management specializes in fixed income investment management solutions. The firm's fixed income group primarily offers investment grade taxable and tax-exempt strategies as well as blended taxable and tax-exempt strategies. Clients select from investment mandates that encompass: core, limited maturity/duration, multi-sector, and customized benchmark blends. Taxable, tax-exempt and blended strategies are provided to separate accounts, managed account programs (wrap programs), sub-advised mutual funds and private funds. McDonnell employs a disciplined, value-added approach to fixed income management which is intended to outperform the market and dampen volatility in relative rates of return.

CAP utilizes the investment concepts described in Modern Portfolio Theory, which holds that the goal of an efficient portfolio is to minimize investment risk and maximize return. This is accomplished through diversified portfolios comprised predominantly of mutual funds representing various asset classes. The appropriate mix of asset classes for each portfolio is determined using asset allocation software, and mutual fund selection involves rigorous, regular reviews of mutual fund performance for each asset class.

CMIA manages no-load mutual funds and separate client-focused equity, fixed-income and balanced portfolios. The firm invests in the growth and value stocks of small-cap, mid-cap and large-cap domestic and international companies. Their investment strategy combines a top-down approach and thematic and fundamental analysis with a bottom-up stock selection process. CMIA’s fixed-income investments focus on short-term, intermediate-term and long-term high-quality debt instruments including US Treasuries, MBS, ABS, municipal bonds and agency bonds. Their balanced investment approach is a blend of their equity and debt strategies. Portfolios are benchmarked against the S&P 500 Index and the Barclays Capital Aggregate Index (formerly the Lehman Aggregate Index).
