Prior to assuming his current role with CalPERS in May 2008, Mr. Marzion was Assistant Executive Officer of the Actuarial and Employer Services Branch, responsible for providing services to more than 2,500 state, school, and public agency employers.
Mr. Marzion's primary responsibilities include working closely with the CalPERS Board on employer matters, expanding the Employer Education and Communication Outreach program, representing CalPERS at various employer forums, and teaming with the Chief Actuary in providing a full array of employer services.
Mr. Marzion has acquired his extensive knowledge of CalPERS by serving in numerous areas of the organization, including Actuarial & Employer Services, Fiscal Services, Member Services, and Benefit Services divisions.
