Mr. Nigel A.
Labram
is Head of Pension Fund Management at Hermes Investment Management Ltd.
He is on the Board of Directors at Hermes Fund Managers Ltd.
He has been at Hermes since June 2004, initially involved in all aspects of the commodity portfolio, from intial discussion papers to actual investment.
He has also been involved in Tactical Asset Allocation, from allocation process to risk control.
Recently he has taken responsibility for all Strategy and Alternatives, including Hedge Funds, TAA & Commodities; as well as Investment Strategy, Risk Budgeting, Asset Liability modelling and advisory work to the Trustees.
Mr. Labram has previously worked at UBS and Rabobank Investment Banks setting up and running the commodity derivative capabilities globally.
He also has worked at ING and Barings, being part of the four man team to integrate the Corporate and Investment Banking capabilities after the ING purchase of Barings.
He has run and owned commodity trading, processing and broking companies, the last of which in his capacity as CEO, he concluded company sales of the group to Salomon Bros, Man Group and ADM.
Mr. Labram's first role in commodities was at Mars Confectionery which he joined from University after completing his Engineering Degree.
His commodity experience has covered procurement, research, trading, processing, broking and derivative investments.
