Sigma Gestion SA is the French private equity subsidiary of ACG Private Equity SAS, itself a subsidiary of Altium Capital Ltd. in Great Britain. Based in Paris, the firm was originally named Groupe Sigma and was founded in 1993 by Philippe Cholet with the support of private investors and large corporations. In 2004 Sigma Gestion started managing private equity investments on behalf of institutions and retail investors. In 2006 Groupe Gérard Auffray became the key shareholder through a capital increase. Sigma Gestion manages private equity funds including regional and themed funds, distributed through independent asset management consultants. Their institutional investors include leading private equity firms.
