Richard T.
Zatorski, FCAS, MAAA Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning and Chief Actuary Rich Zatorski brings 30 years of experience to his responsibilities as Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning and Chief Actuary.
In this position, he is responsible for gathering and analyzing data that forms the foundation upon which our strategic plans are built.
He then aligns operational processes with GUARD’s objectives, develops methods of monitoring compliance with the prescribed means of accomplishing work, and creates external benchmarks and matrices for measuring GUARD’s success on an ongoing basis.
Finally, he plays a lead role in establishing rates, defining underwriting philosophy, interacting with reinsurance and rating organizations, and identifying state expansion and growth initiatives.
Before assuming his current responsibilities, Rich served in a variety of executive management roles that gave him a broad exposure and unique insight into GUARD’s operations and position within the industry.
During these tenures, he is credited with introducing new methodologies in the selection and pricing of risks and with implementing innovative measurement tools for managing GUARD’s independent agency force.
Although he became a member of GUARD Insurance Group in 1996, Rich performed actuarial consulting for the organization for many years.
