Leadership Kitsap Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 1993 by the Kitsap Chambers of Commerce and United Way, dedicated to developing educated, prepared, and engaged community leaders. The non-profit company is based in Bremerton, WA. The foundation offers a 10-month signature program that combines leadership education, civic engagement, and team-based community service projects addressing local issues such as safety, health, environment, and social challenges. The program includes monthly challenge days, an opening retreat, and a competitive application process emphasizing civic commitment and leadership potential. Leadership Kitsap also provides additional initiatives including the Premier Institute, which offers leadership seminars and peer coaching for various sectors, and the annual Kitsap Women’s Summit focused on personal growth and advocacy. The foundation hosts the "20 under 40" awards for emerging leaders and supports an active alumni association. It collaborates with local organizations, emphasizes inclusivity and community input, and maintains a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
