Scott L. Becker

Scott is a Founder and Advisory Partner of Northstar Capital.
Scott has wide-ranging experience as a private equity and mezzanine investor with specific strengths in fundraising, investment origination, and managing portfolio exits.
Prior to founding Northstar, Scott was Manager of Investments at Adler Management, the private family office of Gerald Rauenhorst founder of Opus Corporation.
He also has previous experience in corporate development at General Mills, Inc. and small business loan origination at Control Data Business Centers, Inc. Scott received a B.A.
from St. John’s University, an M.B.A.
from the University of Minnesota, and a J.D.
from the William Mitchell College of Law.
Scott is a CFA® Charterholder.
While at St. John’s, he played for the legendary John Gagliardi on his 1976 National Championship football team.
He now serves as a volunteer youth coach in his community.
Scott enjoys teambuilding and is an active marathoner, including participation in The Boston Marathon.
