Stephen Klemann

SK has over 27 years of experience in the solid waste/recycling industry, as an innovative, proactive leader and a team member of public, private and equity held companies.
He started out on the back of a rear load garbage truck at a young age and never looked back, as his passion for the industry continues to excite him to this day.
Since then, he has worked in the areas of solid waste supply chain, collection, site/transfer station management, glass processing, material recovery facilities and equipment operations.
A true champion of recycling and solid waste infrastructure, SK has supported the operations or business development of multiple material recovery facilities with leadership throughout vast areas of the country––ranging from the sourcing of material, building, developing or managing material recovery facilities.
Some of the many facilities he supported team leadership with are located in Memphis, Detroit, Milwaukee and San Antonio.
Previously, SK was a Michigan Recycling Coalition board of director member for multiple years and support person for numerous other organizations throughout the country.
In his spare time, for over 30 years he enjoys being a swimming coach.
He is an accredited US Swimming, NYS & AAU Certified Swimming Coach and has taken athletes of all ages to AAU Junior Olympics, NY State and regional championships.
SK and his family enjoy time at the lake, in the competition pool or wherever adventures lead them.
