Vijay Narhar Gupchup

Vijay Narhar Gupchup is currently the Chairman at the Structural Engineering Research Center.
He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director at Ion Exchange (India) Ltd.
and a Director at Mahindra United World College of India, Ion Exchange Environment Management Ltd., Raj Mohindra Consultants Pvt Ltd., Ion Exchange Projects & Engineering Ltd., the University of Mumbai, Walchand College of Engineering, All India Council for Technical Education, University Grants Commission, National Institute of Construction Management & Research, and Tolani Maritime Institute.
In the past, Dr. Gupchup served as the Chairman of the National Board of Accreditation from 2000 to 2003.
He was also an Independent Non-Executive Director at Walchand PeopleFirst Ltd.
from 2010 to 2019.
Additionally, he worked as the Principal of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute from 1983 to 1992.
Dr. Gupchup obtained his graduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1959.
He later earned his doctorate degree from the same institution in 1963.
He also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Mumbai, which he received in 1958.
