In 1991, he set up Rizzo, Farrugia & Co. (Stockbrokers) Ltd.
acting as Managing Director.
Mr. Rizzo has been connected with the local financial scene since 1966 when he joined Barclays Bank.
After a period of eleven years service in Banking during which he was elected an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Financial Services, he joined Financial + Investment Services Ltd, the family business set up to provide investment portfolio management and related financial services.
In 1988, the Minister of Finance appointed him as a member of the Committee advising the Maltese Government on the setting up of a Stock Exchange in Malta and in 1991 he was appointed a member on the first Council of the Malta Stock Exchange, a position he relinquished in June 1994.
