Dr. Andrew J.
Gorman is Vice President, Business Development leads business development and strategic planning activities including strategic alliances, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, technology transfer, product acquisitions and marketing strategy.
Hehas over 15 years experience in R&D, corporate development and operations.
He served as Vice President, Chief Business Development Officer for CJ Corporation ( Seoul, Korea) from February 2001 to July 2004 heading up U.S.
operations and BD/licensing for the Korean and S.
American markets.
In this role, CJ was established as the first Korean-based company to launch specialty pharma sales and marketing in the U.S.
Prior to CJ, he served as Director of Licensing at Bristol Myers Squibb (March 1998 to February 2001).
From 1990 to 1998, he was a Director in R&D and Licensing/Strategic Planning for Hoechst Marion Roussel (now Aventis Sanofi).
He was a tenured Associate Professor, Physiology, at East Carolina University School of Medicine prior to his industry career.
He holds a B.A. in Biology from Baylor University and a Ph.D.
in Physiology/Pharmacology from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
He is an active member of various professional organizations including the Licensing Executives Society, NJ Executive Club (Trustee) and the NJ Technology Council.
