Brian J. Mercer

Brian Mercer joined Candover in January 2002 from Broadview International, a global advisory and investment firm specialising in the technology, media and telecoms markets.
Brian co-founded Broadview's European business in 1989 and was responsible for developing its activities throughout Europe.
He also served as a non-executive director of Kennet Capital.
Prior to Broadview he worked in the UK and Europe in business development and operational roles for technology and media divisions of two UK plcs.
Brian led the buyout of Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing (BvD) in 2004, and in June 2005 he led Candover's investment in Wood Mackenzie.
He also led the buyout of Capital Safety Group.
