MMLIS generally relies on third parties to provide the underlying analysis to determine whether a mutual fund is eligible to be recommended in an advisory program. The firm may also recommend mutual funds and, in some cases, ETFs, variable annuity sub-accounts, individual equities, individual fixed income securities and managed accounts to fulfill strategies. They may provide advice regarding asset allocation strategies and may recommend focused or completion strategy portfolios primarily to complement an existing investment strategy.
