Cardo M. Kleberg

Mr. Richard M.
(Cardo) Kleberg IV joined South Texas Money Management in October 2003 as a Senior Investment Advisor for the firm.
A native of San Antonio, Cardo serves on the management committee.
His responsibilities include a broad range of services to the firms' existing clients, business development and bank trust relationships.
Prior to STMM, Mr. Kleberg played a successful development and marketing role for the African Wildlife Foundation in Washington, D.C., a 40-year-old foundation that has been of key importance in the preservation of some of Africa's most rare and endangered species.
His experience also includes work in commercial real estate at Emerson Partners, Inc., a Dallas commercial real estate investment and development firm.
Furthermore, he also has held positions in the tourism industry in Botswana and South Africa.
Mr. Kleberg earned a B.A.
degree at Southern Methodist University in history and Latin-American studies with a minor in Spanish.
Subsequent study includes course work in economics and history at Oxford University in England, and advanced course work in Spanish at Proyecto Lingüístico Francisco Marroquín, in Antigua, Guatemala.
Mr. Kleberg is involved in many local non profits and conservation groups, including: Advisory Board of Bat Conservation International, Texas Cavaliers, Board of Alamo Heights Little League, Development Board of Nature Conservancy of Texas, and the Board and Vice President of St. Mary’s University Forum on Entrepreneurship.
Mr. Kleberg, along with his wife Britt and their 4 children are members of First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio.
