He is currently the Chairman of SamanTree Medical SA and a Trustee of The Boston Ballet, Inc. Dr. Carignan's former positions include being the President, Chief Executive Officer & Director of BionX Medical Technologies, Inc. from 2014 to 2017, Chief Executive Officer of Rex Bionics Pty Ltd., President and Chief Executive Officer of Perimeter Medical Imaging, Inc., Chief Executive Officer of SoniVie Ltd., and Director of AEGEA Medical, Inc. He also held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Boston Scientific Corp.
from 2002 to 2005, Vice President-Clinical Research & Medical Affairs at Conceptus, Inc., and Chief Medical Officer & Executive Vice President at Novasys Medical, Inc. Dr. Carignan holds a doctorate degree from The Trustees of Columbia University in The City of New York and an undergraduate degree from Yale University.
