Mr. Jenks is currently president and chief investment officer and is the chairman of the Amivest investment strategy committee; he is also a member of the firm’s board of directors.
Mr. Jenks is also chief investment officer of North Fork Bank’s trust department, as well as the North Fork Bank Asset Builder Program.
He also serves as consultant to North Fork Bank’s retirement committee and asset/liability committee.
He served as senior portfolio manager upon joining Amivest in 1991 and was named Amivest’s CIO in 1998.
Before joining Amivest in 1991, Mr. Jenks founded Boston-based Kanon Bloch Carre & Co Inc and was director of research and chairman of the investment committee from 1986 to 1991, where he was responsible for the design, development and implementation of mutual fund evaluation techniques.
From 1975 to 1986, he was extensively involved in portfolio management, investment research and trading system design and assessment at Dean Witter, Loeb Rhodes Hornblower and Shearson/American Express.
Mr. Jenks holds a degree in international relations from Principia College (1971) and an MBA from the University of Hawaii (1975).
