Alatus’ focus is on long-term capital preservation and appreciation via investments in International public equities, with a focus on Europe. The firm invests in a concentrated, high-conviction portfolio of 15-20 positions with an investment horizon of 3-5 years, and frequently longer. They apply and combine a disciplined, bottom-up, free-cash-flow based approach to securities valuation and selection with Private Equity-like independent market research and competitive analysis. The team seeks to enter positions at attractive equity FCF yields and thrives to identify upcoming inflections in FCF to achieve significant capital appreciation. Alatus invests in companies that are steered by strong management teams, whose interests are aligned to shareholders’, and where quality corporate governance practices are in place. The team regularly engages in open-ended and constructive dialogues with the management teams of their portfolio companies. They seek to drive outcomes via activism when deemed appropriate.
