Gerald L.
Baliles served as Governor of Virginia from 1986 to 1990.
He was a Partner at Hunton & Williams LLP from 1990 to 2006.
He served as Independent Director for several companies including Altria Group, Inc. and U.S.
Smokeless Tobacco Co. LLC.
He was also a Director for several organizations including Newport News Shipbuilding, Inc., Shenandoah Life Insurance Co., and the Virginia Historical Society.
He served as Chairman of the National Governors Association and was Director for the Center for the Study of the Presidency & Congress, the World Affairs Council of Greater Richmond, the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Richmond Symphony, Professional Bank Services, Inc., The Nature Conservancy of Virginia, and the Virginia Foundation for Community College Education.
He was also Chief Executive Officer & Director of the Miller Center of Public Affairs from 2006 to 2014.
