Prior to Gardner, he was a pharmaceutical analyst with Salomon Brothers Equity Research.

Dr. Koumatos holds a PhD in Economics from Pennsylvania and a BS in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering from Duke University.
He holds the Certified Financial Analyst designation.
