Hatem Alaa

Mr. Hatem Alaa, CFA, is a Deputy Head Of Research at EFG-Hermes Securities Brokerage.
He is the head of our consumer team covering a diverse range of stocks (food, retail, education) in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Kuwait.
He joined EFG Hermes in 2011 and worked on eight IPOs in the food, education, retail, payments and healthcare sectors.
Prior to joining EFG Hermes, Hatem worked for five years at HC Securities and Investment as a sell-side analyst, where he led a team that covered a number of diversified sectors in MENA. He is a CFA Charterholder and holds a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
