Mr. Ian Schilling is a Co-Chief Investment Officer, Managing Director & Head of Core Funds at Invesco Australia Ltd.
He joined Invesco Real Estate in 2012 as Head of Australian Real Estate and has also previously been the Head of Acquisitions for Invesco across Asia.
Mr. Schilling has many years of experience in real estate investment, investment banking and funds management across Australian, Asian and Global markets.
He has extensive industry experience in direct, listed and unlisted property investment and has a strong track record of managing high performing funds for major superannuation funds and institutions.
Prior to joining Invesco, he held senior executive roles in Australia at Investa Property Group (Morgan Stanley), Colonial First State and Goldman Sachs JBWere.
At Investa, as Group Executive for Funds and Operations, he managed over US$6 billion in Funds Under Management (FUM).
At Colonial, as Head of Closed Core Funds and Mandates he managed over US$4 billion in FUM.
In addition to this experience, he has also previously established and run his own boutique funds management business.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
He also topped his class at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelor of Business in Property (with Distinction).
In addition, he has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
