Ian William Bakewell

Mr. Ian W.
Bakewell is a Senior Investment Director at Investec Wealth & Investment Ltd.
He heads up the Liverpool discretionary desk, managing segregated portfolios mainly for pension funds and charities.
Mr. Bakewell is also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, Asset Allocation Committee and the Stock Sector Committee.
In addition, he oversees the company's internal pension fund.
Mr. Bakewell joined Rensburg & Co. (now Investec Wealth & Investment) as a Partners' Assistant in 1982, moving into financials sector research before becoming a Partner in 1987.
He established and ran the firm’s personal equity plan (PEP) operations in the same year.
Mr. Bakewell set up the Liverpool Fund Management Desk in 1992.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oxford University and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
