Previously, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Hardinge from May 2001 to December 2002, President and Chief Operating Officer from April 2000 to April 2001, Executive Vice President of Operations from August 1998 to March 2000, Senior Vice President of Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering and Marketing from April 1998 to July 1998, Vice President of Sales and Marketing from 1996 to March 1998, General Manager of Machine Tool Operations in 1996, Director of Sales and Marketing from 1992 to 1996, Director of Materials and Purchasing from 1990 to 1992 and Superintendent of Machine Operations from 1989 to 1990.
Mr. Ervin held various positions at Hardinge from 1978 to 1989.
