Prior to founding Janco Partners in 1995, Mr. Helén was Managing Director of Capital Markets for Hanifen, Imhoff and was responsible for Institutional Equity Sales, Trading, Research, and Syndicate, as well as Corporate Finance.
He was also on Hanifen's Executive Committee and Board.
Before joining Hanifen, he was a Partner with Boettcher and was responsible for Institutional Equity Sales.
Mr. Helén is on the Board of, Norkabel, Norway's largest cable company.
Additionally, he helped form UnitedGlobalCom (formerly United International Holdings), a publicly traded cable/telecommunications company.
Mr. Helén was educated in Switzerland and the United States.
