Jens E. Munk

Mr. Jens Munk started his relationship with ViewPoint as an industry advisor in 2004 and subsequently joined ViewPoint as an Investment Director in 2006 where he is based in the Frankfurt office.
He has gained more than 15 years of extensive experience as software entrepreneur and software executive for various IT solution businesses throughout Europe and the US.
Since joining ViewPoint as a full time team member, Mr. Munk has been actively engaged in deal-flow generation and portfolio development where he is involved with investments in Aquin, ArcPlan, and Fernbach.
Prior to working with ViewPoint, he served as VP EMEA for Swiss financial services buy-side analytical CRM vendor Swissrisk, and mastered the turnaround of e-Vantage Solutions, Inc. as CEO from 1999-2002.
Before that, he successfully started and built-up the Continental European operations of Retek Corp., a specialized US software vendor for ERP solutions in the retail industry, that was acquired by ORACLE in 2006.
Mr. Munk initially started his own software business in Denmark in 1991, which he successfully sold to ShowCase Corp.
in 1992.
At ShowCase, a specialized US business intelligence vendor, he served as a Country Manager for Germany and as a European Sales Manager.
In 2001, ShowCase got acquired by SPSS.
Mr. Munk is a Danish citizen and lives in Frankfurt since 1994.
