Over the past 20 years, Jim has been President and/or CEO of three publicly listed TSX companies, two were small companies which he restructured and grew substantially, the third, Burntsand Inc. was a startup founded by Mr. Yeates.
The two companies which were turnarounds were firstly, Computer Innovations (“CI”) a microcomputer integrator in Canada and the UK that was ultimately acquired by SHL Systemhouse Inc. Jim was instrumental in leading the company's growth from $7 million to $515 million in revenues over an eight year period.
And, secondly, Integrated Network Services Inc. (“INSINC”) was Canada's leading wide area network integrator until it was acquired by Sprint Canada in December 1994.
Innovative, customer-focused marketing, selling, and service strategies boosted the annual growth rates of the companies that Jim has been directly involved in by more than 60 percent annually.
Jim holds a Master of Computer Sciences degree from McGill University and an undergraduate engineering degree from the University of Vermont.
